NLP Coaching

Counselling and Life Coaching are forms of dialogue, effective in building a different future for ourselves.

What is Counselling/Psychotherapy/NLP Coaching?

Counselling and Life Coaching are forms of dialogue, very effective in building a different future for ourselves.NLP picture

The comprehension of our assumptions, the ability to identify goals, the definition of an ideal way of living and our willingness to achieve it, are all present in the counselling and coaching sessions. Counselling produces excellent results when it is integrated with a positive vision of reality therefore reducing the importance of problem solving as methods to find a new solution.

The first step to any personal change should always be self-awareness. This is the core frame for all our training and coaching work at Being Centre Therapy and Coaching Services. In our NLP Coaching course, for example, the underlying theme is 'relationships', the most important relationship being the relationship you have with yourself. If you are interested in self-awareness leading to vitality, success and greater personal happiness then take a look at our ongoing training modules.

Counselling and Psychotherapy, although are two completely different terms, are both, essentially the same thing. Both Counsellors and Psychotherapists provide a service for people who are looking for support and treatment for a wide range of emotional issues.

Coaching might be characterised by being developmental in nature, focusing on building on a clients existing strengths and driven by a clients desire to understand themselves, their beliefs, behaviours and actions.

NLP is:

Neuro: The mind body connection and how it works. Hearing, seeing, tasting, smelling and feeling.

Linguistic: The language and non verbal communications systems through which our neural representations are coded e.g. waving, smiling or shrugging shoulders and speaking. These are ordered and coded to give meaning to our experiences. We use language to describe and catalogue our world.

Programming: Sequences that repeat patterns of thought and behaviour that help or hinder us in achieving our outcomes.

 NLP is used to:

Focus positive change, manage your personal feelings, motivate and take effective action in your life as a means of self development.

In our sessions we will use and integrate theories from Cognitive Behaviour, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused and Coaching for the greater learning and positive change of each individual.

Coaching focuses on setting your goals for the future and making positive changes in your life, providing the practical and psychological support needed to motivate you towards obtaining these goals.

RESOLVE PROBLEMS                    GET THE BEST OUT OF LIFE

Our aim is to provide an approach that resolves current difficulties.Coaching picture

Perhaps all of us at times need some help to resolve a problem with; relationships; a secret; loss of meaning and purpose; finding direction or with experiencing disappointments in our lives and careers.

How can we feel significant? Is there something that needs to change?

As a social being by nature, a group environment can help us feel held and safe enabling us to work towards a better understanding of ourselves and others.

An experiential experience, not a disclosure of your innermost secrets.

A SAFE PLACE TO BE

Our aim is to present, explain and demonstrate forward thinking techniques that are simple to understand and easy to use.

We focus on helping you to set goals for the future and make positive changes in your life. The life coach provides the practical and psychological support needed to motivate you towards obtaining these goals. We will share concrete practical tools with you and will also help you understand yourself and your patterns of behaviour, linking the two together to make lasting change.

Families and relationships

Everybody, from time to time, may experience difficulties in their relationships. However, many people are now recognising that it can help to talk through these problems with a trained professional. Gaining clarity on a situation helps to equip us with more tools in which to identify blocks and make new, more apt, personal choices. Read more ...

Everyone has arguments and everyone disagrees with their partners, family members and others close to them from time to time. We all do things at times which cause unhappiness to those we care about and of course we regret. When this begins to form a consistent pattern, then it may be an indication of domestic violence.

Any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse, psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional between adults who are, or have been, intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender or sexuality, is very often considered domestic abuse. read more ...

Trauma and Loss Picture

Traumatic experiences often involve a threat to life or safety, but any situation that leaves you feeling overwhelmed and alone can be traumatic, even if it doesn't involve physical harm. It's not the objective facts that determine whether an event is traumatic, but your subjective emotional experience of the event. The more frightened and helpless you feel, the more likely you are to be traumatised. read more ...

Stress anxiety and depression picture

Diagnosable depressive illnesses usually require medical investigation and it is always advisable in the first instance to talk with your GP. Many people understand the value of counselling support when they are feeling depressed, stressed and anxious. Feelings of depression usually, but not always, stem from a build up of stress and anxiety.

Stress and anxiety by and large, involves too much: too many pressures that demand too much of you physically and psychologically. Stressed people can still imagine though, that if they can just get everything under control, they'll feel better. Stress can develop as a response to any situation or thought that upsets you. read more ...
